What if I told you that you would win the publisher’s clearing house sweepstakes? Would you send in your entry form? What if I told you that you will achieve great heights in your career? Would you make sure you attend college to prepare for it? What if I told you that you would win the championship? Would you show up for practice? What if I told you, your retirement plan will be successful if you meet with a specific investor? Would you make the meeting?

Of course, if we knew the outcome of the future, we would certainly make the investment of time to make sure we are prepared for it. But try this on. It is certain to happen. If the Lord doesn’t take us home, each of us will get older. Each of us will face a knew set of challenges one year, five years, ten years down the line. We might have to deal with physical infirmities, taking care of aging parents, or even becoming single again. Aging is certain. Yet, we all want to avoid the inevitable.

If you know it is certain, then why not prepare now? Why not gain the tools and knowledge that allow you to grow under the grace of the Lord? That is what this weekend’s conference is about. Our guest speaker, Howard Eyrich will be presenting material that every adult (anyone over 18) needs to hear. There will be lots of things to distract you form coming. But don’t let it happen!
