Be Prepared For Another Blessing This Sunday

Sunday was an incredible day of worship. We literally got to see God’s kingdom expand as we installed Jim Carter as a new elder at Providence and we commissioned our first deacons, Roger Fries and Andrew Hanks.

What a powerful picture to see every member of Providence commissioning these men. As we were reminded on Sunday, don’t let this be the only time we pray for our leaders. The fellowship luncheon afterwards was also a blessing. The ladies did an outstanding job of organizing the effort.

The blessing continued into the evening as Rev. Brian Fourroux was officially ordained to the gospel ministry at First Baptist Church, Ardmore, AL. Several members of Providence joined the service (you can see Bro. Brian and Bro. George in the line to lay hands on Brian). We were encouraged to hear how God is using Brian at our sister church.

This Sunday will be another blessing that we don’t want you to miss out. During our service, Pastor Blair will be interviewing two missionaries serving in Iraq. And later that afternoon, they will be providing us a full presentation at our quarterly update. The business of the church should only take short amount of time. The meeting will begin promptly at 4:00. Childcare will be provided.
